Kacha Gilding Glue
Kacha’s Gilding Glue is designed for easy, perfect adhesion with Kacha’s Imitation Gold Leaf sheets. To use, apply the medium to furniture and allow it to become tacky, then add Golden Sheets or Prima’s Metallic Flakes on top. Burnish and brush off excess leaf with a clean, dry brush for a dazzling finish. This non-toxic, water-based formula dries clear and is water-resistant.

How to apply
Foil, step by step.
- Let the paint dry 24 hours
Apply the transfer directly on dry paint, not on wax or topcoat. Foil needs fully dry paint, or it sticks where it shouldn’t.
- Plan your placement
Keep the backing on. Measure or eyeball where it goes and make any cuts now.
- Peel and stick
Peel the backing and place the transfer exactly where you want it. This is the most important step: once it’s down, it’s down.
- Rub over the design only
With the Transfer Tool, rub only over the design, not the empty areas. Start at one corner and lift the paper slowly to check; if you missed a spot, lay it back down and rub again.
- Buff and seal
Wipe with a microfiber cloth to remove loose flakes, then seal with Clear Finishing Wax or Clear Satin Topcoat.
