The story of Kacha
Origins
“Painting furniture gave me something to hold on to during the hardest season of my life.”
It started quietly. A brush, a piece of old furniture, and time I didn’t know what else to do with. One coat led to another, and then another. Before long, I was painting every piece I could find, then selling them on Facebook Marketplace, just to make space for more.
What started as a way to heal became a booth, a following, and eventually a brand. Kacha wasn’t planned. It grew out of necessity and love for the craft.
The Mission
“Art is a beautiful escape. A place where the noise of the world fades away.”
What began as my personal path to healing quickly struck a chord across the globe. The very thing that brought me peace, the slow, therapeutic rhythm of a paintbrush and the elegance of gold, became a shared sanctuary for others.
What started as a solitary hobby has blossomed into a global movement. Today, millions of people gather here to lose themselves in creativity, find an escape from reality, and discover a profound sense of purpose. I believe that art is a form of medicine, beauty belongs to everyone, and every person deserves the space and inspiration to create.
Meet
Co-Founder & Artist
I am the hand behind every color, every brushstroke, every piece that leaves our studio. I’m self-taught, relentlessly curious, and the kind of artist who’d rather show you how than tell you why.
In 2019, my husband Carlos joined me full-time, and Kacha became what it is today. A brand, a following, a shared mission. But the art is still mine, always.
When I’m not painting, I’m designing new colors or answering DMs from someone trying their first piece. I read every single one.
The Store
Maine is where Kacha took shape. Where the booth became a brand. Where the content got made, the community grew, and the name got out into the world.
The store is the physical home of everything we do. It’s where we test new colors, shoot new content, and occasionally just sit with a coffee and a fresh coat of paint drying on the worktable.
If you’re ever in Maine, come by. We’d love to meet you.
The Community
“Six million friends & makers.”
What started as one woman with a brush is now a community of over six million people across the world, painting, sharing, teaching, and giving old furniture a second life. You are the reason Kacha exists, and the reason it keeps growing.
Every piece you see us post started with someone just like you, picking up a brush for the first time and deciding to try.
Kacha
Whether it’s your first piece or your hundredth, there’s a color waiting for you.
